Yatzy Challenge at a glance

Everything Yatzy Challenge does, without the filler.
Two complete rule sets
Maxi Yatzy — six dice, twenty rows and a bonus of 100 at an upper sum of 84 — or the classic game with five dice, fifteen rows and 50 at 63. Each keeps its own statistics.
The opponent gets your throws
Same dice, in the same order. The difference in score is the difference in decisions.
The whole block on one screen
Every row, the dice and the throw fit on one screen on iPhone and iPad — no scrolling.
Today's dice
DAILY YATZY: one numbered set a day, the same for everyone. One official attempt, and a streak for every day in a row.
Challenge a friend
FRIEND YATZY: pass a round on as a link or a short code, and your friend plays your throws in your order — blind, or with your score to beat.
Two to four on one phone
PARTY YATZY: two to four players on one phone, passed round the table – one turn each, everyone with their own dice, and a result board at the end. Always free.
A Christmas die and 24 days of dice
All December, a snow-white Christmas die with berry-red pips, free for everyone. The day's page gets a calendar with a door for each day from the 1st to the 24th, and a door opens when you play that day's dice.
Four computer strengths
Easy, Medium, Hard and, with Premium, Expert. Each plays the dice you were given, not better ones.
See which choices cost points
After every round the game tells you how many of your choices could have been better, measured on the dice you actually got, and which was the biggest missed chance. The walk-through, choice by choice, is Premium.
Game Center, if you like
Three DAILY YATZY leaderboards – today's dice, the best day and the most days in a row – and 17 achievements; the ones for playing well count only rounds without help. Game Center is optional.
12 languages
English, Danish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Dutch, Polish and Japanese, switched in Settings without a restart.
Why people use Yatzy Challenge
The reasons that survive the second week.
A scoreboard you can argue with
Yatzy is normally decided by the throws. Handing both players the identical dice makes the result about the choices instead.
Both games, properly
Maxi and classic are separate rule sets with their own rows, bonuses and statistics. Switching takes effect from the next round, never in the middle of one.
Help when you ask for it
In SOLO, ask for the best move whenever you like. Against the computer, a friend or today's dice, suggestions stay off unless you turn them on. A round played with help is saved as assisted and does not count towards Yatzy Rating.
