What the app does
Everything the CrochetBuddy app does, without the filler.
The maths done for you
Rounds for circles, balls and tubes from a magic ring, round by round. Even increases and decreases, in the round and back and forth. The foundation chain for the width you want. Blankets of granny squares and other motifs: how many, joining, border and yarn. The pattern converted to your own gauge. Yarn amount from a swatch. Buttonholes evenly spaced along the edge. The answers are written the way a pattern would write them, in US terms such as sc and dc, or UK terms if you prefer. Check off each line as you crochet, and save the calculation in the project.
US or UK patterns
The same dc is two different stitches: an American dc is a British treble (tr), and a British dc is an American sc. Type a line from a pattern, and the app turns it from US into UK terms or back, and the table shows every stitch in US and UK terms with its turning chains. Look up hook sizes in mm, US letters and Japanese numbers, and where brands disagree, the app says so.
Your projects in one place
Each piece of crochet gets its own project with pattern, counters, yarn, hooks, notes and photos. Tap Continue, and the pattern opens on the page where you left off, with the counter ready at the bottom and a band over the line you are on.
The counter that keeps track
Give the head, the body and the repeats a counter each with a goal, and feel a small buzz when you reach it. A reminder can show the right line on the right row. Count on Apple Watch, on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island or by voice, and count on iPhone and iPad at the same time.
An overview of yarn and hooks
Take a photo of the ball band, and the brand, grams, length and hook size are filled in for you. Your hooks are in the stash, and you can see which are in use and which a project is still missing. When a project is finished, the leftover yarn goes back in the stash.
A buddy you can trust
No account, no ads, and it works offline. Your projects are kept in your own iCloud, which we cannot see, and nothing is sent to us. Export it all whenever you like. CrochetBuddy comes in 35 languages with each language's own crochet terms, in a light or dark design, and works with large text and VoiceOver.
Why people use CrochetBuddy
The reasons that survive the second week.
No pencil and paper
The rounds and rows appear while you type, in the crochet abbreviations of your own language, US or UK.
Every stitch counted
Before an answer is shown, every row and round is crocheted through stitch by stitch, and the count at the end of each line is that count, not a formula's.
Your data stays yours
